Secret of My Success

okay I don't know whether I should update this blog or not...
but my instinct keep on telling me that I need to do so.

This entry quite personal, actually..
Im afraid people will misjudge me and
perceived me as arrogant and pretentious.

So, I asked some of my friends feedback first, do I need to share this thing?
they asked me back, Why not? It's for others benefits too.

Then, I asked another question about the hukum.
One of my friends sent me a long quote that he got from a post by an Islam scholar.

The post really make me convinced to share my secret.

Huummmm....

By the way, I don't think it is secret.
It is more like my daily routine.

Alhamdulillah...
For first semester,
My result is hmmm 'bolehla'
I got 3.70.
Alhamdulillah dean list for the first time.

Many more got better pointer than me.
For first semester, i dont feel too proud with the achivement as
what my seniors said,
"first semester bolehlah dapat dekan. Masuk sem 2 nanti barulah tahu camne."
In my mind,
Oh, maybe there are plenty of people who got 'dekan' .
Thus, I think i just share my 'secrets' during second semester.

Alhamdulillah...
Praise to Allah the Almighty God,
My pointer for second semester is 3.85.

Okay now,
Let me share with you how I got this such result.

hurmmm...
i don't know how to begin =_='

I start from the time I wake up from sleep.

Everyday, I'll wake up at 5. Usually, Subuh prayer will be around 5.10-5.15 am.
Therefore, I still have time to perform my tahajud and witir prayer.
I believe with the quote of Imam Syafie,
"Du'a that made in tahajud is like an arrow that will not miss its target".
Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him also told us that, "dua is a weapon of believer".

I sure that you are curious how I can wake up early every single day.
I will tell you at the end of this entry. So, keep on reading till finish okay.

By the way, every Monday and Thursday, I will fasting.
In consequence, I will wake up earlier for those two days.

After performing Subuh prayer and mathurat,
commonly I will recite at least 10 pages of holy Al-Quran.
When we recite al-Quran, we will activate both hemisphere of our brains.
Miracle, right?

Wanna prove?
Okay, here I show you.
During 1st semester, I learnt the roles of right and left brains.
The roles of right part are music awareness, creativity, imigination and more.
The roles of left side are language, reasoning and else.

Reciting al-Quran will activate the right hemisphere- music awareness
(that's why we are recommended to recite al-Quran with taranum like bayati, hijaz, nahuwal, sobah rass and many more)
and  the left side will activated too - language
( al-Quran is in arabic, last time my lad told me, people can enhance their IQ by learning arabic, we muslim are well-known that arabic is heaven's language, for sure that this language has its own uniqueness)
As a result, the whole brain will become active. No doubt that people can be genius merely by reciting the holy al-Quran.

In addition,
I still remember when my PERKEPIS's members and I were having usrah with Ustaz Suhardi,
my friend since SUPERB, who is also taking medic, asked Ustaz,
there are too many things that I need to memorize,
can you suggest any solution to solve my circumstance?

Ustaz calmly answered, you read al-Quran first before study.
"Al-Quran tu kan cahaya, ia akan menerangi hati kita."

After reciting al-Quran, I go back to my room. I change my outfit.
Guess what I do then?

Hahaha...
To be frank, I will workout around 10 minutes.
Actually, I started this habit because of taekwondo. I wanted to get black belt.
I just need to participate one more grading.
Therefore, I'm preparing myself to achieve my target.

another reason is I was selected to be represent the faculty football team.
There are only three first year students who were been selected.
So, I need to perform well to payback the seniors' trust on me.

Regarding workout, I've attend one of Dr Rizal's talks and he said he discover that people
who exercise regularly has a healthy and better mind compared to people who exercise during weekend only.
There are many quotes from figures all around the world that encourage us to do exercise.
Like an arabic idiom says, "a healthy mind is from a healthy body".

After that, I'll take a bath and breakfast.
For breakfast if I'm not fasting, I eat three eggs and three slices of white bread, seven raisins, and a glass of milk. This what I eat almost everyday for breakfast.

Why I eat this food?

Okay I begin with raisin. I think most people know that this is mind's food.
Hmm...
So, I don't want to talk much about it.

Next, eggs and breads.
There are a lot of nutrition in an egg.
Better you find out by yourself about the benefits of eggs.
and for breads, it is one sources of carbohydrate and it can replace rice.

Nevertheless,
people who eat three slices a white bread a day more likely to be overweight or obese, a study has found. Furthermore, egg also has its own bad effects like obese too.

I don't mind about this press as I already workout everyday.
Huh ~ nothing to be scared...

Lastly, milk.
I read Syamail Muhammadiyah, book about Prophet Muhammad's daily routine,
there is stated that our prophet drinks milk.
Instead of getting the nutrient, I also get the reward of doing the sunnah.
Killing two birds with one stone.

After taking breakfast,
I perform dhuha prayer, 4 rakaat.
The virtues of Dhuha prayer are vast, uplifting, life-changing and of immense benefit to those who implement the habit of praying it on a daily basis.

The Prophet ﷺ said:
“In the morning, every single joint of yours must pay a sadaqah(charity). Every SubhanAllah is a sadaqah, every Alhamdulillāh is a sadaqah, every La Ilaha Illa Allah is a sadaqah, every Allahu Akbar is a sadaqah, every commanding good is a sadaqah, and every forbidding evil is a sadaqah, and all this is accomplished through two rakʿahs one can pray in Duha [prayer].”
One more hadith,
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Allah the Exalted says: ‘O Son of Adam, do not be heedless of praying 4 rakaats for Me in the beginning of your day and (as a result) I shall be your sufficiency at its end.

At 7.50 a.m, I'll attend the morning class.
By the way,
how I rearrange my schedule?

From monday to thursday, I have class in the morning , 8 till 11.
I will make sure there is no class in the afternoon, before zuhur prayer.
This is because I want to take a nap. 30 minutes before zuhur prayer.
In Islam, it is a sunnah if we sleep before zuhur.

Moreover, I listen and do what Dr Rizal said during his talk,
sleep 30 minutes before zuhur prayer will enhance your memory.

I only used sling bag to class and in that bag contain one or two pens and a book for me to jot down notes. That's all. My colleague had asked me, why you don't wear a bigger bag?
This bag showed that you not serious in study.
sling bag on my shoulder

For me is vice versa.
Motivators always told us to be in positive mood when study.
I feel what I do is convenient for me and I adore it.

Here is an advice from me. Make yourself comfortable while study.
Good condition will make you easier to learn something.

After zuhur, I will recite al-Quran another 10 pages.
Everyday, I make myself compulsory to read at least 1 juzuk.
If not, my 'hafalan', without a doubt , will dissappear.

Then, usually I will have lunch. I just eat rice and chicken curry or else.
I just eat a little. Full stomach will make us sleepy.

After lunch, if I am free, I will study around two hours.2-4 p.m.
I don't know why I can focus more than an hour. So, for every an hour,
I will take a break and relax my mind.

Ohhh..I forget to write something...

In class, or anytime before I start study, I will pray to Allah.
Allah is the owner of everything including knowledge.
Why not we asked the right person to accept our du'a?

okay back to my story,
I perform asar prayer and mathurat.
Then, I recite al-Quran again.

In the evening, I will do my assignments or jogging.
Hurmm...
almost everyday I have class in the evening.

around 630p.m, I will prepare to go to musolla.
After performing maghrib prayer,, I will hear tazkirah or maghrib kuliah.
If not, I will recite al-quran until isyak.

After isyak, I will take dinner. Same like my lunch meal. I need to save my money as I don’t take any loan from PTPTN or else. I totally rely on my parent’s money.
If my parents can sacrifice their money for my success, why I can’t sacrifice my energy to make them blithe ?

Then, I study or do assignment from 9 till 11. Then, I will sleep from 11 to 5. Six hours sleep.
As I have mentioned in the beginning of this post, how I can wake up early is because I sleep early.
Dr Rizal said an adult need to sleep 7 hours minimum. Sufficient sleep can make your knowledge which is vulnerable to be permanent.
Who say sleep cannot make you be genius? 😏

Additional tips :

-be close to your lecturers.
I think all my friends know that I am close to lecturers.
I even have their phone number and more, they only give it to me and
prohibit me from give it to my colleagues.

How I can be close to lecturer?
I like to drop by their rooms and asked them questions regarding their course.
Sometimes, I also will chit-chat with them about another thing that not related to their course.
I made my lecturers just like my parents.

Before exam during study, for this two semester, I do what I have done in foundation.
I asked for apologize to all the lecturers (who are available and not busy) and
also asked them to pray for me.
I believe by doing so, my knowlege will be more barakah.

-be close to your seniors.
I admit the seniors have help me much to achieve this current result. Like first semester, Akmal, our head of Cognitive Science, had lean me his coding. And my group got 19/20 for the final project.
Haikal, my mentor during Cognitive Science camp, also had help me by giving some tips and advices. Not to mention, they are dean list students.
Kak Iffah had assist me on how to answer the final and also giving me some tips. Before starting the second semester, she gave me all the lecture notes. Its really helpful !
Thanks senior !!

...

HMMM....
That's all from me.
Hope this entry will give you benefit.
ALL THE BEST !!!
